I’ve got cucumbers!
These are my first and are good looking and tasty!
I planted along the fence and they have climbed well with very little help from me and are producing well. Nothing special and easy to grow and so far no critter issues of any kind. I should have plenty to share.
Wow. Good to know, I enjoy trying to grow the “easy” ones. I’ll mark cucumber on my list. Is the plant a voracious producer like squash or is it more manageable?
I planted them near my chain-link fence and although they can do okay on the ground I think that happiness is likely to be achieved if they can climb and it will be a better us of ground space too. Use tomato cages or any other structure that will allow them to grow and climb against. I’ve not had any notable issues with any critters, my cucumbers are unprotected.
