There is so much to learn and to know about gardening and I, in my first season could not possibly know enough to be considered knowledgeable on any subject concerning the propagation of of any plant but I have learned some things.
I will share with you what I’ve learned and perhaps you will appreciate at least some of my experiences and at the same time contribute to my education by responding or posting your own experiences and or references.
I will attempt to post an “Issue” and then the corresponding action, solution and any result. When possible I will include links to references for further reading.
I’m not an accomplished gardener either…I’d rather consider myself a practicing one. It seems I have more failures than successes in my attempts, however, each failure and each success provides a great deal of learning experiences. I have come to believe strongly that when we share our experience, both the successful one and particularly the failures, we learn a whole lot more than we do on our own. It’s a synergistic thing. For example, it never dawned on me to just improve the hole you put the plant into, instead of the entire garden bed, which, if you tend to over-do-it with ammendments would be a far better way to go. Another practicing gardener taught me that.
