I am reviving this site and my efforts to develop a community of gardeners. For a million reasons I’ve not had time to garden or manage this site. My last posts were in 2014. Now… nearly 10 years later I am back at it. I’ve freed myself of other interest and am focused on developing my garden and my gardening skills and I want to take as many of you with me on my adventure!

Willful the Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) is my companion and will be seen now and then. He stuck his paw into another dogs mouth through a yard wall opening and needed to visit a Veterinarian. He is all better now! He’s a quick learner and likely won’t do that again!

What’s Going on!

I’ve semiretired… again! After leaving the Air Force in 2001, I grew a computer services business that helped pay bills, keep me active and gain some very special people in my life. My wife and I have moved from the home where I previously gardened and now have a property with an expansive yard to tame and develop and I have plenty of room to garden. (Insert picture)

I have a lot of space to chose from for my garden, I’ve identified a small area near the pool to use to build my first raised bed garden. The location that I chose meets a critical feature of my gardening and that is to use captured rainwater by gravity feed… In order to gravity feed the destination must be lower than the storage tank. The larger the differential the more effective it will be.

I encourage everyone to be active in your own gardening adventure and to share your challenges and successes with me and the rest of the gardening community.

I am also promoting a sort of co-op to encourage the sharing of materials, information, labor, groceries and the development of relationships.
